Beta Test

The web version of CADasCAM runs directly in your browser and is currently in public beta. You can try it at cadascam.app.

The idea behind the web app

CADasCAM has been available as a Windows program for many years. With the web version, we want to make CADasCAM independent of operating system and device:

• No installation: Open your browser and get started.
• Cross-platform: Runs on Windows, macOS and Linux.
• Works offline: Once opened, the web app can be used without an internet connection, e.g. right at the machine in your workshop.
• No cloud lock-in: Your drawings and CNC programs stay on your computer. No account or cloud storage required.
• Always up to date: New features and bug fixes are available immediately, without downloading updates.

The core concept stays the same as in the desktop version: design (CAD) and CNC program (CAM) are seamlessly connected.

What does beta mean?

The web app is under active development. During the beta test:

• Not all features of the desktop version are available yet.
• Errors may occur, so save important work regularly.
• Usability and feature set may still change.

For production use, we still recommend the desktop version.
